Thavamaai Thavamirundhu

“The responsibility of a father is to make his son get
a good exposure to the world”

“The duty of the son is to make the father feel Proud
to have such a son”

“The mother feels Happier when she hears his son to be
A great person than the time she gave birth to him”

Cheran has given the final touch with these lines.
Ya the film is definitely a novel on the screen.
Some body may feel it to be a lengthy novel.
But it is definitely a lively novel. We faced cheran
as a good director by his last film ‘autograph’ and
films preceeded it. He once again proved it.

Father sentiment is a new concept to tamil film
and it is a good try.

The film starts with the travel by cheran in a car.
Then he sheds some dialogues to emphasis the
Father’s (Rajkiran) importance. Then visits his father
in a hospital. Then starts the flash back …..
Rajkiran was owning a small printing press.
The childhood of cheran and his brother is moved
somewhat slowly , but also interestingly , in some
points like crying of pain in butt due to long
cycle journey.

Father RajKiran is an illiterate . He wants his children
to be great scholars in society . Then years pass away
and the yelder brother of cheran (Senthil) moves to a
diploma course .Then cheran moves to an engineering
course . Then begins his romance . He is attracted by
teen age specials and shifts to hostel further burdening
his father’s economy. Then Cheran to take swing in
his love with Padma Priya a new arrival to tamil
industry who have a good futre . Their romance and
the college days are the most colorful shots in
the film.

Then his brother gets a job and
he gets addicted to some midnight noodles and his
marriage takes place as a result. Here introduced a

good artist to tamil industry as Senthil’s wife. Then
she creates a situation which is Not so favouring the
joined family .Then Rajkiran’s family splits.

Cheran – padmapriya crosses their limit in romance
during a group discussion session.Padma is conceived
and cheran leaves his home with padma without
intimating his father. Then they suffer a lot in Chennai,
cheran (an A.C.Tech student) works in a press
and a girl child is born to them. Rajkiran came to
know abt it. Then cheran mirates to their village
with the father .

The casual play by saranya(cheran’s mom) is really nice.
Her innocence and maturity in the scenes is good.
Then cheran seeks a job and become a well earner.
Then his wife too gets a job and all of them (pa,ma,
Cheran ,padma and child) moves to Madurai . Then a
song which explains their happy life crosses the
screen as a cool breeze on a hotty day. That life
could have been shown for some more time.

Cheran too did the same mistake in the past as his
Brother and weeping at last cannot compensate .

At first padma may look not so fair but in the course
Of film she also shines. Then senthil, his wife are very
well carved . Since the story is canalized through cheran
he is the hero ,but the real hero is RajKiran.

Lets await for a national award for Rajkiran’s performance…..
